FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Eastern Nazarene baseball team dropped its final doubleheader in Florida Thursday, falling to John Carroll 13-0 and 9-4. The Lions finish the trip owning a 2-6 record while the Blue Streaks improve to 6-3 on the year with the wins.
John Carroll erupted for eight runs in the first three innings of the opening game. The Blue Streak stymied Eastern Nazarene's offense en route to the shutout.
In game two, John Carroll tallied a run in the second inning, three in the third and two in the fourth.
The Lions pushed across three runs in the fifth but the Blue Streak's bullpen secured the team's third-straight win.
In its first game in the Commonwealth, Eastern Nazarene will battle Lasell March 14 at Brandeis University.
