Freddy Perez '11 Added to Men's Soccer Coaching Staff

QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer head coach Mark Bell has announced the hiring of Freddy Perez as assistant coach.

Perez was a four-year member of the Eastern Nazarene men's soccer program from 2007 to 2010, appearing in 73 matches.

Perez has coached with the Carisamba Soccer Academy based out of Quincy and as a head coach for the America FC United U12 boys' squad while also assisting the club's U17 girls, U13 boys, and U18 boys' teams since March 2015. He has also been an assistant coach with the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association District Select Program U17 girls for the past three summers.

Perez continued playing soccer after competing on the pitch for Eastern Nazarene. He played for Nashville Atlas FC alongside former MLS players and NCAA Division I athletes in the Middle Tennessee Soccer Alliance, Tennessee's top amateur soccer league. Recently, Perez joined Cambridge Arsenal FC in the Bay State Soccer League.

He graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. After graduation, Perez worked as a Histology Lab Assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston before working in Pathology at PathGroup in Nashville, Tennessee from May 2012 until September 2014.

A native of Randolph, Massachusetts, Perez moved back to the Bay State to become a Clinical Operations Supervisor at Best Doctors in Quincy.
