QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team has released its 2018 schedule featuring 25 matches. The Lions' 2018 docket includes 11 home contests and a pair of matches against teams that participated in last year's NCAA Tournament.
Led by first-year head coach Derek Schmitt, the Lions were picked to finish third in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Poll.
Eastern Nazarene kicks off its second year of varsity competition January 25 at home against Pine Manor.
The Lions will travel to Mount Ida for a tri-match with Sage January 27 before visiting MIT and Elms on back-to-back nights.
Eastern Nazarene returns home February 8 to host Emerson then hits the road for a tri-match at Wentworth with Emmanuel February 10.
After a home match against Mount Ida and a home tri-match against Pine Manor and Regis, the Lions begin NECC play on the road at Newbury February 20 and at five-time defending league champion Endicott February 23.
Eastern Nazarene is slated to host Southern Vermont February 28 and Lesley March 3. The Lions will visit Lasell March 6 before a three-match home-stand with contests against Dean, Newbury, and Endicott.
Eastern Nazarene will hit the road for matches at Southern Vermont March 24, Lesley March 27, and Pine Manor March 29.
The Lions will host Elms March 31 and travel to Dean April 3 to cap off conference play before battling Lesley at home in the final regular-season contest April 6.
Last season, Eastern Nazarene finished with a 12-10 overall record in its first year of competition. The Lions posted a 5-7 mark in league action en route to earning the No. 4 seed in the NECC Tournament and hosting a first-round playoff match.
