QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College head softball coach Dani Bishop has announced the hiring of Lauren Clements as assistant softball coach.
Clements, a 2019 alumna of Eastern Nazarene College, graduated as the most decorated student-athlete in program history. She was named Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year as a junior and was tabbed the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year the following season.
Clements shattered program-records as a student-athlete, graduating with nine career records and five single-season records to her ownership.
She powered the Lions to the program's first-ever NECC championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019. A two-time all-conference selection, Clements earned NFCA All-New England second team honors as a senior.
"I am very excited to have Lauren on the staff this year. She had an outstanding career here at ENC and has become a great student for the game. I'm confident her immense passion for the game will translate into her coaching and she will be an integral part of our success next year," commented Bishop, the 2019 NECC Coach of the Year.
