Santimano Adds Shelby Holmes to Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball head coach Sacha Santimano has announced the hiring of 2018 ENC graduate Shelby Holmes as assistant coach.

Holmes returns to the Lions' women's basketball program after wrapping up her collegiate playing career at ENC in February.

A native of Seeley Lake, Montana, Holmes appeared in 53 games for Eastern Nazarene in two seasons. She amassed 506 career points to go with 318 rebounds and 91 assists.

A two-time Academic All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honoree, Holmes attended the 'So You Want To Be A Coach' program at the WBCA Convention in April in Columbus, Ohio.

"I'm thrilled to add Shelby, a graduate of our program, to our coaching staff. She has the experience of playing for us which will help her mentor current players," commented Santimano. "She'll also bring a fresh set of eyes and ideas that will hopefully help us continue to grow. This is a big step in further developing our program."

The Lions open the 2018-19 campaign at the Curry College Tip-Off Tournament November 9-10. Eastern Nazarene will face Saint Joseph's (Maine) in the first game of the season.
