Women’s Cross Country Finishes 19th at Emmanuel Saints Invitational Friday

BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's cross country team earned 19th place at the Emmanuel Saints Invitational Friday afternoon at Franklin Park.

The Lions finished ahead of Mount Ida, Curry, and Pine Manor.

Katherine Sautter (Quincy, Mass.) led Eastern Nazarene with a mark of 26:02 on the 5K course.

Makayla Grantham (Appalachian, N.Y.) clocked in with a time of 26:39 while Jael Bourque (Nashua, N.H.) crossed the finish line one second later.

Hailey Dalio (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Alison Morse (Weymouth, Mass.) also represented the Lions in the race.

Gordon grabbed the team crown despite not having a runner finish in the top five. New England College's Abby Shafer traversed the terrain in 18:34 to capture the individual title.

Up next, Eastern Nazarene will compete at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships at the University of New England October 28.
